Biography

Kyle Foss is a current Ph.D. researcher in machine learning and design of experiments at Gent University in collaboration with imec. He received his B.S. in 2013 from California State University Long Beach in the United States with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Environmental Engineering. He graduated from the University of California Los Angeles in 2016 with an M.S. Engineering and a certificate in Systems Engineering. His previous academic projects focused on internal combustion engine emission controls and emission testing. From 2013 to 2017 Kyle worked as an engineer for Volkswagen Group of America coordinating emissions testing at VW’s Test Center California. At Volkswagen, he was responsible for In-Use vehicle testing as well as real driving emissions (PEMS) testing. From 2011 to 2013 he held internships in environmental compliance at Orange County Sanitation District and quality assurance at Disneyland in California.
