Filter the points by clipping along x and (optionally) y axis, and by comparing their value in the unplotted dimensions to the current value in those dimensions.

Parameters
samplespoints matrix
valuescorresponding output values matrix
boundsinput domain bounds
fixedSamplethe sample to which you want to project to
plotIdxvector of the plot indices
optsstruct of options (optional)
Return values
samplestrimmed down samples
valuestrimmed down values
sizesvector of sizes for each sample (used for plotting)

The deviation percentage corresponds to the current interval size in each unplotted dimension.
