Calculates the score of this neighbourhood for point A.

Two algorithms are used. neighbourhoodSize = 2 * dim: an optimal neighbourhood is a cross-polytope of minimal radius. other neighbourhoodSize: an optimal neighbour is minimal in average distance from A.
